About the Role We are seeking an experienced Editorial Manager to lead the development and execution of our digital magazine and publishing ecosystem. You will shape the editorial voice, build content systems, and oversee long-form storytelling across platforms. This is a unique opportunity to lead the editorial vision of a mission-driven, design-forward brand in its early stages. This is a part-time, freelance or contract role to start, with strong potential to evolve into a full-time editorial leadership position. Key Responsibilities - Lead the launch and evolution of The Living Edit, our flagship editorial platform - Own and manage the Substack newsletter—developing the content calendar, growing the subscriber base, and turning the platform into a central brand asset - Oversee long-form content production: essays, features, interviews, product storytelling, and brand narratives - Collaborate closely with design, marketing, and social teams to ensure voice and tone consistency across all platforms - Coordinate front- and back-end updates to our Wix-based website to support both editorial and e-commerce goals - Maintain a high-quality, cohesive, and strategic publishing process from ideation through distribution - Monitor performance metrics and content engagement to continuously optimize output and audience connection Requirements - 3–5 years of professional editorial experience across lifestyle, design, wellness, food, culture, or fashion - Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to elevate contributor pieces and sharpen brand tone - Strong understanding of content strategy—balancing SEO, storytelling, and aesthetic impact - Confident managing contributors and working cross-functionally with creative and strategic teams - Comfortable working in platforms like Wix, Substack, Notion, and content management systems - Familiarity with UX, layout, and formatting of long-form digital content You’re likely a fit if you: - Love building an editorial voice from the ground up - Think like a strategist but edit like a perfectionist - Understand a homepage is a stage and a sentence is a lever - Thrive in a start-up environment where creativity meets ownership - Are passionate about creating content that’s as thoughtful as it is beautiful - Care about culture, design, and intentional living - Experience launching or scaling a digital publication - A strong visual eye and sensitivity to layout and user experience - Familiarity with basic analytics tools and content performance tracking To Apply Please submit your resume, a short note about your experience or interest, and 2–3 links to editorial work, newsletters, or publications you’ve led or contributed to. Social/Editorial Media Manager Nannette Brown is a multidisciplinary design firm that is becoming a lifestyle platform rooted in the philosophy of Life Architecture—the idea that your home is the foundation for personal growth, creativity, wellness, and the life you want to build. Our content is aesthetic-forward, intellectually rich, and culturally aware—with home as the common denominator. About the Role We are seeking a part-time Media Manager (while we prepare to launch--the role should ramp up to full time in 3-6 months) who understands today’s content landscape across social and digital platforms. You will drive strategy, oversee platform-specific optimization, and contribute to a highly aesthetic, insight-driven content experience. This is a hands-on, in-office role (mostly). Agencies and fully remote applicants will not be considered at this time. Key Responsibilities - Own and execute daily social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube Shorts - Support podcast content packaging, promotional strategy and launch. - Schedule, publish, and track content using social scheduling tools and calendars - Analyze performance metrics across platform to refine strategy and increase engagement - Develop platform-specific content packaging including captions, tags, hooks, and thumbnails - Collaborate closely with the principal and editorial team to maintain brand consistency - Contribute to content creation, including video editing in CapCut, Canva, Adobe tools - Stay current on algorithm trends and evolving cross-platform best practices - Leverage AI tools for content ideation, creative motion graphics and workflow efficiency Requirements - 3–5 years of experience in a similar role managing and scheduling multi-platform content - Proven ability to adapt content across platforms with an understanding of each platform’s algorithms, strategy, audience, and format - Familiarity with podcast build-out, promotion and packaging a strong plus - Proficient in systems-data based approaches, yet intuitive and market-savvy enough to understand true connection with an audience - Experience with AI content tools a major asset - Highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing a robust content calendar - Deep understanding of performance analytics and data interpretation You’re likely a fit if you: - Love merging business strategy with creativity and brand building - Move fluidly between platforms and tools - Are energized by data and performance metrics - Have an aesthetic eye and instinct for brand tone - Have already taken the dive into the creative capabilities of AI - Thrive in a small start up mentality environment that's fast-moving, detail-oriented - Are excited about building something original and impactful To Apply Please submit your resume, a short note about your experience or interest and 2–3 links to platforms/accounts you’ve managed. Internships

Social Media Intern Nannette Brown is a published interior design firm building a digital ecosystem that spans lifestyle categories including health and wellness, personal growth, food, fashion and modern living. Role Description We are accepting applications for our Autumn interns with 1-2 content creator spot(s) available immediately. This is a social media role for a college junior, senior or recent graduate looking for a hands-on experience in creative writing, content creation and social media strategy across platforms. A strong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, ShopMy and LinkedIn are valuable pluses. You’ll work directly with our founder and editorial/data team on high-touch content that blends aesthetic excellence with user insights.This internship is in-office (NYC). It’s ideal for someone who’s smart, creative, culturally plugged into all-things social, and eager to learn by doing. Key Responsibilities and Skills Required - Excellent editing/packaging skills using tools like CapCut, Canva, Adobe - Strong writing skills with the ability to convert compelling ideas to captions thru a storyline with coordinating photos/videos that support the content thesis. - Iphone, DSLR camera and or videography skills - Tech savvy: AI, website backends, i.e Wix; Midjourney, (or other visual AI tools), video and music conversion platforms a plus. - Learn and integrate cross-platform data analytics and SEO to contribute to posting strategy - Participate in editorial meetings and creative brainstorms for content mapping. What We're Looking For - Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Media, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Design, or related field - Knowledge of current trends and algorithms for all major social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn. Experience or interest in Podcasts or longer form writing or site posting for Substack or website. - Comfortable using admin tools like Notion, Excel, Google workspace and Dropbox - Strong visual eye, attention to detail and editorial instincts - Strong interest in music, branding, pop culture, and business growth a plus.
